Accounting Jobs North West

The North West region is second only to London and the South East in terms of economic output and has a population of nearly seven million. In the past the region has been the centre of industries such as textiles and shipbuilding, but in recent years large international firms have made their base in a number of exciting cities and town and now many more accounting jobs are to be found in office-based industries.

The North West boasts Manchester, Liverpool and Cumbria, all thriving centres of commerce, with finance and accounting jobs available in city centres and large scale industrial parks. Employment agencies are useful tools in these economic times as more and more links are created between the large employers in the area and people looking for employment. Many of the larger firms employing accountants are by nature inclined towards using agency workers, whether a large international business, or a smaller local one.

As high technology businesses become more prevalent cities such as Manchester are looking to recruit financial consultants, managers and accountants for their offices. The area has one of the UK's highest rates of job creation with Foreign Direct Investment in industry above the national average. An increasing percentage of the region's main employers are foreign owned companies, generally European and American.
