Due to the large number of enterprises in the Northwest, the region is one of the best performing in terms of output of goods and services in the whole of England. Home of the Industrial Revolution, the region is known for the classic manufacturing industries of England such as textile, clothing and chemicals, and although these sectors still play a large role in the English economy, the focus in recent years has been more in the service sectors where the commercial, technical and retail industries have accounted for most of the employment growth. This has created a strong demand for account managers since the Northwest also offers one of the highest quality of life, the region is fast becoming a popular choice for professionals looking to settle down.

The Northwest has experiences rapid growth with cities such as Liverpool and Manchester undergoing a revival after a few slow years in the beginning of the century.
